Princeton cruisers to display ‘In God We Trust

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — The Princeton Police Department is following in the steps of the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Department by placing “In God We Trust” on their police cruisers.

“We thought it was a real good idea,” Princeton Chief of Police John Howell said. “We’re going to try to carry it through here in the city of Princeton. We had some lettering donated by Mona’s House of Tint here in Princeton on one of our cruisers.”

Howell said the slogan was something he strongly believed in. “I feel like the majority of my officers believe that strongly too,” Howell said.

Howell said he would like to get the slogan on all his cruisers as quickly as possible. “I would like to see the rest of the city vehicles have it put on them as well…
