The new Rosenbaum Family House will share a building with the WVU Hospitals Child Development Center located by the hospital’s parking lot below the WVU Law School and beside Milan Puskar Stadium.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Workers were double-timing it at Rosenbaum Family House on Thursday, March 14, as the facility readied for move-in day at its new facility.
The house, which offers lodging to families of adult patients undergoing lengthy medical stays in Morgantown, is moving to a larger, newly-built space that will increase its capacity from 29 families to 40.
Other amenities include a gym/play area for youngsters, laundry rooms, two commericial kitchens and a mix of family and studio apartments.
The house was founded in 1999 by the late Hilda Radman Rosenbaum, a Morgantown businesswoman who often slept in cots and chairs as went to hospitals across Boston, New York and Philadelphia, seeking treatment for her daughter, who was suffering from cystic fibrosis.
