Harris, WVU end losing skid against ranked foes

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Eron Harris didn’t even know about the losing streak to nationally ranked teams.

Neither did Terry Henderson, although the sophomore recognized the WVU men’s basketball team hadn’t beaten a ranked opponent during his time at WVU.

As for Bob Huggins, well, the WVU coach had some choice words for WVU’s 16-game losing streak against Top 25 teams.

None can be used here.

It matters little today anyway.

Thanks to a streak of hot shooting from Harris, who scored a game-high 28 points with the aid of six 3-pointers, WVU pulled out a 91-86 overtime victory Wednesday, Feb. 5, against 21st-ranked Oklahoma…
