WVPA Convention 2014: President’s Reception draws large crowd

CANAAN VALLEY RESORT — The reception for West Virginia Press Association President Perry Nardo, publisher of The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register, opened Convention 2014 Thursday night.

Highlights of the night included Nardo sharing  information about  his WVPA initiatives of the past year, West Virginia University President E. Gordon Gee explaining the value of West Virginia University and Charleston Gazette Executive Editor Rob Byers recounting his visit to Pakistan and work with Pakistani journalists.

Convention 2014 at Canaan Valley Resort and Conference Center resumes on Friday at 10 a.m. with an editorial board program with AARP.
