BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — West Virginia Wesleyan College has surpassed the $29 million mark in the “Enhancing Our Tradition, Empowering Our Future” Capital Campaign.

The campaign, which has a goal of $30 million, was publicly announced in October 2015. Over 4,500 alumni and friends have contributed to the effort to date.

Gifts from the campaign have funded the new O’Roark Nordstrom Welcome Center, Dunn Hall, and Wesleyan’s Tennis Complex. It has also allowed Wesleyan to renovate classrooms and upgrade several athletic facilities. In addition, endowed funds have been established for academic programs, faculty development, international travel, and scholarships.

“We are delighted about the success of this campaign to date,” Wesleyan President Pamela Balch said. “The support is a great vote of confidence in Wesleyan, its mission, and direction. The campaign has allowed Wesleyan to make important improvements to our campus and infrastructure while expanding opportunities for students and faculty.”
