PNRC accepting public notice journalism entries

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Public Notice Resource Center is now accepting entries for the 2017 Public Notice Journalism Contest.
“Getting editors and reporters to realize that the public notices in their own newspapers are a fertile source of good stories is a priority for PNRC. In addition to leading to some great reporting, we think it will help all of us in our fight to maintain our public notice franchise,” said Richard Karpel, PNRC spokesperson. “To that end, we hope that every state press association ultimately adds a public notice category to their own contests. In the meantime, we encourage those of you who don’t have one yet consider informing your members that they are eligible to participate in this year’s PNRC contest. I’ve attached a PDF you can use for such a promotion.”
The contest rules and entry form are posted here on the PNRC website: http://www.pnrc.net/contest/entry-form/
