Governor Justice announces three major youth soccer events coming to West Virginia

CHARLESTON, W.Va.  — Gov. Jim Justice announce Friday that West Virginia will host three major youth soccer events that will provide a $332 million boost to the state’s economy.

Kanawha and Cabell counties will co-host the 2019 U.S. Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships as well as the 2019 and 2020 Eastern Presidents Cup.

The games will be played at the Barboursville Soccer Complex and the new Shawnee Park Sports Complex in Kanawha County. Barboursville has hosted regional soccer championships for U.S. Soccer.
