MARLOWE, W.Va. — Delegate John Overington, R-Berkeley, held the first of two scheduled town meetings Saturday morning at the Marlowe Ruritan Building, discussing state issues ahead of the upcoming Legislative session.
Overington welcomed the meeting’s attendees and listened to constituents’ questions and ideas related to natural energy, tax reduction, budget transparency and business development.
“Right now one of the top priorities is trying to fund our prison guards so we won’t lose them,” Overington said. One way he hopes this will improve is through increased state funding.
